McDonalds
8:10 PMIt's been a while. And you're probably waiting to hear an exciting post with some sort of news or adventure. But today I'm posting about our trip to McDonalds. And in the eyes of a 13-month-old, that is as exciting as it gets.
I've been working hard on my business lately, and I needed a little Mommy-Daughter date to refresh. Now that Sydney's walking and interacting with kids more, the golden arches down the street was calling our name.
We got a few stares from other moms and kids, probably wondering why a lady would bring her dinner into the play place with just a baby perched in a high chair.
Mmm...the simple cheeseburger that grosses you out half the time, but at certain times really hits the spot. It reminds me of a church pot luck dinner we went to in Australia, where everyone was told to bring a dish from a different country. We chose America. But then we couldn't think of what to make (we're not known for our culinary skills). So we stopped by McDonalds on the way and ordered 20 cheeseburgers. Yes, 20. And the girl at the window made us clarify twice. Let's just say it was the first plate of food to be cleared.
This was pretty much the one french fry she ate. It was way more interesting to watch and chase after kids.
Sydney and I enjoyed our own little 29 cent ice cream cones. There's few places that can beat the taste (and price) of McD's vanilla ice cream cones.
she kept looking up at me, not sure if she was really allowed to eat it all...and didn't quite know how to eat it all
See? How can you resist spoiling your little pal now and then with a trip to McDonalds? Remember when you were a kid and it was so exciting and special? I can just see it in her eyes.
