A Day at the Fair
12:16 AM
We ended the summer with a visit to the state fair. My sisters, Kathleen and Valerie, joined me and the kiddos, and we ate lots of yummy food, rode kiddie rides, and were entertained by the good ol' carnies.
the first thing Sydney saw was a huge chocolate-dipped, sprinkle-covered banana.
having two helpers makes fair-going much easier!
Once all the chocolate was gone, Sydney was generous enough to share the frozen banana. :)
Sydney loves her aunties!
She was thrilled to see a real witch at the fair. She talks about witches and ghosts and monsters all the time...ever since last halloween.
We visited the goat barn. I think Kathleen was more excited than Sydney. :)
a fair is not a fair without cotton candy
Max agrees.
I love my sugar-loving baby
The main attraction was the incredible snake lady. It was well worth the $1.
Drum roll.......
Yep, it was real....the head of a beautiful girl, body of an ugly snake. And now Sydney begs to look at this picture 10 times a day.
Sydney and Max loved watching their aunties spin super fast and high.
Max kept squealing and pulling himself to the fence as he watched
Sydney and I had special time on the ferris wheel. It was one of the sweetest things! We cuddled up together as we looked out over the entire fair.
She plugged her ears the entire time, saying it was too loud (pretty much any noise equals her covering her ears). Now looking at the picture on the right, it doesn't look as sweet and peaceful for her as it was for me. :)
