our easter weekend
11:40 AM
We've been lucky to have my parents come join us from California for almost every holiday and big occasion. This weekend we celebrated Ryan's baptism, along with Easter, so it was a very special weekend.
We started the Easter festivities with an egg hunt in the park behind our house. Prizes went to the person who found the golden egg, the one with the most eggs, and lots of other made up winning qualities in the end. :)
Max found the patch of grass with the easily-accessable eggs, and mowed right through it with success.
Sydney had two prized eggs in her basket for most of her hunt, and when I'd tell her to find more, she'd say, "I already have some!". I think I was more eager about the loot than she was.
in the end, we all came out winners with lots of treats
Mason found the lucky Golden Egg
my dad was getting into the easter spirit
Max decided it was easier to just roam around, stealing goodies from everyone else
everyone got a prize, and then the BBQ began (thanks to the beautiful weather that arrived this weekend!)

Easter Sunday, we woke up early by the excitement of all the kids
the kids played upstairs while the Easter Bunny hid the last of the loot
Max started the scavenger hunt. He preferred playing with the tiny paper clues than finding his basket, but he got help from Sydney and the cousins
lots of toys and treats from our favorite bunny
when Sydney was up, she breezed through her clues like a pro - she knew every nook and cranny of our house like none other.
she was very excited to find a basket full of PINK
even I got to hunt for my basket
Sydney helped Daddy with his treasure hunt
while the adults ate their waffles, the kids ate their treats
we then washed up and headed for church on our sugar high :)
