our 4th

After an unexpected overnight delay with our flight from New York, we were so excited to finally be out of the airport and home with our kids on the 4th! And luckily we didn't have to miss all the festivities. We joined the cousins at our house for some treats and little fireworks on the street.

Jonna drove up with her three kids and watched Sydney and Max for most of our trip to NYC. We were so grateful for her help, and so happy to get to play with them when we got home!

My favorite firework is the snakes (which bring out a lot of potty jokes among the kids) ;)

Max had already gone to bed before the fireworks began, but I had to pull him out for a bit to enjoy some of the festivities. He wasn't a fan of the loud noises, but Sydney tried to convince him otherwise.
