happy half birthday...and hello, film

My baby boy is 18 months old today. He's suddenly wanting to be independent and keep up with the rest of the big kids around him (mainly his idol, Sydney). 

We played at the park behind our house last week and I brought my new (old) film camera. It's taking some getting used to, but I am in love. I've been dying to get back into film...I miss the old days when I used to shoot with my dad's old Minolta and develop my film in the dark room. There is something so beautiful and raw about film.

For Christmas Max gave us two gifts: he learned to walk, and he learned to throw tantrums. :)
