a quick trip
10:18 AMWe were able to visit Tommy's family in California last weekend. There was a beautiful memorial service for little Avery on Saturday at the church where Tommy's brother, Matt, spoke. And then a sweet prayer was given at the gravesite by Avery's dad, Mike. After the prayer, the children laid tulips on the casket. The weekend was filled with lots of hugs and tears, as well as lots of warmth and love. I am so blessed to marry into such an amazing family. They are some of the most kind and loving people around.

Tommy has endless energy with kids. He played the entire weekend, entertaining them with magic tricks, wrestling, jokes, and teasing (he's just a kid himself)
Sydney started crawling a bit more during the trip, trying to impress her big cousins.
I couldn't get over the cool wild turkeys everywhere. I've seen them before, but this trip they were everywhere and constantly fanning their feathers, showing off to the female turkeys
